Work Out Routine

I love work out. Well, the result after I made it as my daily routine. I love the after burned effect, heart pounding hardly, sweating like crazy, and of course firmer muscles.

I have tried many kind of work outs since my junior high. Many kind. But I always look for the kind that I can do without being out of my room and with less equipment as possible, no equipment is the best!

For the past months, I did circuit training every morning for 10 minutes. Circuit training is a method where you combine 3-5 moves that count as 1 set. it can be mount climber, squat, or burpee. You do each moves for a minute, without any break. And do until 5-6 repetitions. It proved as the best way to burn calories, it’s not only focusing on one muscle but many muscles work at the same time. So, you can cut your working out time. At first i feel the effect. I got the sweat. My heart beat got faster. I felt my muscles get firmer in a week.

But after tried this for months. I got bored to do same moves everyday. And I no more felt the effect. I did not feel my body recharge anymore. It tended make me feel half charge and get tired easily. No more effective.

So I search for something new.

I found Blogilates’s videos are fun.

Well that’s not what you think at the first you try her videos. Mostly they are hard. But DO NOT GIVE UP! Keep it through! And you’ll see you can nail it.

Blogilates has many videos that can be used to execute one part of your body. So you are bored proof.

I usually do 2-3 videos that will spend 10-15 minutes of my morning time. And another 10-15 minutes after I get back from work.

All the moves mostly is Pilates. So it will strengthen your muscles.

I found I love her videos. Kinda addicted actually. I get my sweat. And I feel proud if I can finish her “hard” videos without any break. And yes, I feel my stamina maintain very well through out the day. That is the best part about her videos.

My working load really push me to have a good stamina. And her videos safe me.

Mille Feuille Crepe Cake


Selama di Jakarta kemarin,si tante sering banget bawain any kind of sweet treats sehabis pulang ngantor. Salah satunya crepes cake dari First Love Cake yang ada di Plaza Indonesia. Aku cobain rasa green tea sama blueberry. Dua-duanya ENAK!!! Kalo sepupuku doyannya yang Oreo. Pada dasarnya emang semua varian crepes cake nya enak. Antara layer nya semua dikasiin whipped cream yang dikombinasi dengan berbagai rasa. Ada yang original, matcha, atau variasi rasa di adonan crepe nya sendiri, misalnya untuk yang Oreo.

Jadi, setelah mencoba makan, timbul keinginan untuk mencoba buat sendiri. Uda dari lama punya resep crepe cake nya Martha Stewart. Tapi mengingat harus membuat layer demi layer crepe, kok rasanya malas. Apalagi kalo crepenya malah jadi ancur pas diangkat. Tapi karena penasaran, ya dibongkar lagilah si buku resep buat nyobain sendiri.


90 gr tepung terigu protein sedang

90 gr mentega/margarin, lelehkan

310 ml susu cair

3 butir telur

1 sdt vanila bubuk/extract

100 gr gula pasir

sedikit garam

whipped cream/nutella/fresh fruit/any type of jam (be creative)


Cara membuat:

  1. campur tepung + gula + garam + vanili bubuk (kalau pakai extract campurin ke larutan susu), sisihkan
  2. campur telur + susu cair, aduk rata. Tuang ke campuran tepung, aduk.
  3. tambahkan mentega/margarin cair, aduk lagi sampai adonan halus dan licin. Saring adonan. Lalu simpah di wadah kedap udara selama 2 jam – semalaman.
  4. siapkan wajan khusus crepe atau wajan anti lengket biasa, diameter 6 inch (sekitar 16 cm).
  5. tuang sekitar 3-4 sdm adonan crepe dan masak dengan api sedang selama 30 detik. Lakukan sampai adonan habis.
  6. lalu masuk ke dalam tahapan finishing. Intinya tahapan prosesnya: crepe – cream/jam – crepe – cream/jam – crepe – … – crepe. Ditumpuk-tumpuk terus hingga akhirnya berbentuk cake.


Dengan ukuran wajan yang aku pakai, hasilnya jadi mini crepes cake, untuk konsumsi 3-4 orang. Kalau mau buat untuk konsumsi yang lebih besar, resepnya bisa didouble dan ukuran pan yang digunakan bisa diubah ke ukuran 8 – 9 inch (20 – 23 cm).

Oatmeal Skin Remedy

I’ve planned to post this way before, but always ended telling my self “I’ll post this later, later, later”. Hail the procrastination!

I’ve stopped using any facial foam, milk cleanser and toner, etc after I watched this video around 2 years ago.

Before, I always used some prescription from dermatologist to wipe out any acne scars, and I always had pimples and acne when my period about to come. But after I moved to oatmeal as my face cleanser, I felt I’ve saved much money. Oatmeal is so cheap and it works as a cleanser, wipes out my acne scars, and even prevents pimples and acne in my period time. Awesome!

You can see the result of this remedy after you use it in two weeks. And it gets better after a month, two months, three months, and now in my case, 2 years. I am happy with my skin now (even I start seeing lines, wrinkles and dark spots here and there. Aging ~~). It looks brighter and feels smoother. I will definitely use this in many more years ahead. It’s natural. It’s cheap. And it works wonderfully.

How I use oatmeal. I take a tablespoon of oatmeal, throw it into a small bowl. And then I add up about two tablespoons of lukewarm water, mix them a lil, then rub it on your face for a minute. Rinse off and pat dry.

Beside oatmeal, I sometimes use baking soda as a cleanser too. Baking soda, not baking powder. But baking soda is a bit tricky. It doesn’t work with any type of skin in my opinion, especially for sensitive skin. So I recommend you try it first in your wrist around your vein. If it doesn’t show any effect, go and use it on your face. I use baking soda once or twice a week. It works as an exfoliator for your skin. It removes dead skin, make up, and black heads.

First time I used baking soda, I felt like my face burnt. But after I washed it, my skin felt super silky! And any black heads have gone.

How I use baking soda. I splash my face with fresh water until it all gets wet. I take about half tea spoon of baking soda and start to rub it on  my face about 1 minute and then rinse off. And last pat dry my face. Yes, pat dry girls, do not wipe!

It’s important to remember always moisturize your skin after you wash it. It will keep the moist and softness of your skin. Happy trying girls:)

Howdy People!

Been gone for way too long. I don’t even remember what my last post about. And I’m not in the mood to post any recipes lately. I’m having a break from kitchen I think. Too many things are hanging around my mind, but haven’t reached the point where I can’t stand all of these matters anymore. I still can think, but can’t think clearly, wisely, which kinda make me feel stressful inside unconsciously.

My plans didn’t work as the way I want them to be. And like what happened 6 years ago, I don’t have master plan B. I don’t know what path to choose. Well I know, but it’s blurry. Is it the right way? I don’t know. I have no clue. I have no one who can tell me what to do. ‘Cause that’s the point of living in adulthood, you choose your own path, no more people around telling you what to do. You choose with your own risks.

I think I’m in my lowest point. Hopeless? Ohh, how I hate calling my self a hopeless one. But yes, kinda hopeless. but why should I feel hopeless? I still can feel the air, feel the oxygen run in to my lung. I’m alive. And it left me with no reason to be hopeless, but to keep trying and believing that in the end I will get back on my track and achieve my goals.

My goal? To find a job! Soon!

I feel I’m getting older (yes, we all are getting older each day) and I have responsibilities to be fulfilled. Being settled in career is my very first move to prepare my self to the next step, where I have to start to think about marriage life. Who will be the one? Who fits me perfectly and willing to spend his life with me until the death tear us apart.

Another goal? To experience something new. I’ve been waiting like forever to be out of this city. I wanna be somewhere new, rounded with new people, make new friends, challenging my self with new activities. Anything new!

What I know now is not losing hope. And to have a big faith that it will be good in the end. Will be great in the end. And I will live a happy life for the rest of my life. Amin.
